Steel: AUS-8Rori’s sword is named like a derby girl, and just like one, she can wreck your shit up.
When Rori decided he needed a big ass sword, his affinity for Chinese martial arts motivated him to have this design custom made. Although it’s similar in size and shape to a Bagua broadsword, there are several things about it that make it much different, and more suited for its very specialized purpose.
Not only is it fitted with a nylon break away sheath for an easy draw, it’s built longer to suit Rori’s height, has a full, thick tang for added balance and a blade that’s about 50% thicker than a regular Bagua for added striking strength. All this extra metal brings Bettie up to a hefty 12.4 pounds, and with a forged blade of AUS-8 stainless steel and saber ground edge of 35 degrees, she’s made for cleaving.
